Magical Kids by Sally Gardner
This fun book is two stories in one! One side of the book is The Strongest Girl in the World, flip it over and you'll have The Invisible Boy. Would you like to have either of those magical traits?
Read this book to find out how it all turns out for Josie and Sam! Funny and quick to read.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
Don't forget to read the great favorites of classic children's literature!
If you've seen the movie but haven't read this book - then you only know part of the story. This book has great character development and progression of story. Love it, love it, love it.
I found my copy from when I was a child and gave it to my young adult son. He looked online and said that it was kind of a rare edition and worth a lot of money. You never know what will become valuable, but this is a story that will always be worthwhile!
Perfect for good 3rd grade readers and all 4th graders!
***** a must read!

Strange Happenings by Avi
Sophia B. recommended this book, a series of short stories about people who transform into animals, other creatures, other beings. It was interesting to see how they got into the situation and then what happened to them! Don't you like to be able to talk to people about the books you read? So it's more fun if you have a friend read the same books as you! Sophia, would you want to be without any flaws?? That baby didn't turn out how I expected!
I love books by Avi, they're all different and all good!
**** good creepy reading for 4th - 6th graders!

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
Oh my...a vampire love story!? I didn't think I'd like it but it was fast paced and the story progresses so well that it kept me reading! Stephanie Meyer is from the Valley Of The Sun so look for the brief part of the book that takes place in Phoenix! Do you recognize the airport?
*** but you'll probably like it even better...
Good read for upper grade students who like romance.
Read it before you see the movie!!

The Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt
WOW! This was an intense book that made me laugh and made me cry...and that doesn't happen very often. It was about a boy who is at a cross roads in his life. He's trying to please his father, his teacher and also find himself. It takes place during the Vietnam War, a time I remember from my childhood. So maybe that made it extra intense. I think good readers who like historical perspective would enjoy this book!

read this book if you are an advanced reader who can appreciate Shakespeare!
